"Sometimes, things have to get worse before they get better."
:)
This destruction happened on November 3rd, 2015. We are just remembering that, as my dad taught me, "Sometimes, things have to get worse before they get better." :) Here's our apartment in October, still without toilets. Well, there was one toilet, and the view was spectacular!

Today, January 3rd, we got a couple inches of snow. That's a lot for the Portland area. I went out to take some pics along the Columbia river. Our crappy pine window sills are water-damaged. You can see the new ones, in maple and zebra wood. They are still being trimmed and fit. So far so good! Cassie also made a framed oak pedestal to replace the cardboard box we used before. :)
These were all taken with the amazing Fuji 60mm f2.4 macro lens which my family got me for Christmas. On my Fuji X-E2 camera, this lens is equivalent to a 90mm lens for a 35mm sensor. As such, it is great for telephoto portraits as well as close-up shots. |
