After peach picking on a hot day, this really hits the spot. This is a kind of dhosa which is hard to find in the US. Normally, it is a Rava Masala Dhosa, but we got this one without the masala. So I guess this is a Rava Dhosa. Rava dhosas are not made with normal flour batter. Instead, they are basically made with a kind of "cream of wheat" grain.
This is another type of dhosa which is not easy to find in the US. Imagine a "normal" dhosa, only a very thin layer of chili sauce is spread inside, evenly covering the entire interior surface of the dhosa. It's called a Mysore Masala Dhosa. It is moderately spicy. The sambar is a bit spicier still, which is as it should be! :)
