Vivi's first word was "Hi". I got her to say it, occasionally perfectly, at around 2 months. It's still hit or miss. I had to say it a few hundred times!
For many weeks, she struggled to make her vocal cords work at all. Except for crying, of course! :)
She is very photogenic, and distracted by any camera. Vivi hams it up for the paparazzi! So videos of her saying Hi are tricky. Here I am drawing the single syllable out, over 2-3 seconds, in a high pitch, which rises at the very end. She didn't say the word, but she kept mimicking the exact pitch and cadence, like, six times in a row.
I couldn't stop laughing! :)
