Parkview Scavenger Hunt Contest
The Parkview Scavenger Hunt Contest is open to any owner at Parkview VancouverCenter Condominiums, past or present.
You can enter and win cash or prizes, even anonymously, if you like. Please tell your neighbors.
Good Luck and Have a Great Summer ! :)
The total prize pot currently stands at $5,000.00 !!
It's a lot of money, so here are the RULES:
- Parkview homeowners only, but if you've sold and moved then you are still eligible.
- Unless otherwise stated, you must answer all the questions correctly (see below) and before the question's "expiration date", to receive the corresponding prize.
- We must be able to verify your answers for you to win, so please add supporting material if needed.
- We reserve the right to disqualify any entries, for any reason, including: if we receive multiple different guesses, or unverifiable answers, or automated submissions, from the same owner. Questions may be amended from time to time for clarification.
- Submit your answers via the contact link here, with "Parkview Scavenger Hunt Contest" in there somewhere. If you wish to be anonymous, make up a fake name and email, and use the web form. Just remember the name or email to claim your prize later!
- First one to submit the correct answers wins the corresponding prize. Only one winner per question/contest.
- Most prizes have a cash value, and an alternative "electronic" value, winner's choice. We can slip cash under your door LOL! Or, you can specify one of the electronic prizes instead: sent to a 501(c)(3) Charity of your choice, a Bitcoin address of your choice, or Amazon gift card numbers to redeem (password will be the possibly-fake email address you entered).
- We may publish some answers, and dates submitted, but not the submitter's details.
- Contest sponsors/organizers, the Brennan family, are ineligible to enter. Opinions stated are our own. Contest is for entertainment and informational purposes only. We hope you win!
Contest #1, Prize $500 cash, or $1,000 electronic. Expires October 1, 2021.
Question: Explain how one or more parts of Parkview's CC&R/Bylaws or WA state RCW 64.34, legally permit the Association/AMS the right to force entry by locksmith, into any/every unit, for the purposes of a fire safety inspection?
Hints: CC&R 9.4 won't work, because no applicable Common Elements are visible inside your unit. CC&R 15.2 won't work, because it grants the Association may optionally specify, perform, and bill the work, but not the ability to force entry without your consent, to do the work. The Association may issue a fine if the work is not completed. In the likely event that no proper, legal justification exists, we may award the prize to the most "legally creative" answer.

Contest #2, Prize $2000 cash, or $4,000 electronic. Expires October 1, 2021.
Questions: The Association is pursuing legal damages from a stucco manufacturer. Every owner stands to either win or lose substantial amounts of money, from this mysterious undertaking. Yet since 2018, the Association has stubbornly refused to divulge any concrete details. The Association is required by governing documents and state law to answer these questions. Partial award might be given for 2 or more verified correct answers:
- Who is the Stucco manufacturer above?
- What is the name of the Insurance Company, which paid for the "investigation holes" in the stucco?
- What lawyer/law firm represents Parkview in this case?
- Roughly how much (money/damage) is being sought in the damage claim?
