We surprised my inlaws in Hong Kong!

First a stop at Tokyo Narita airport for amazing sushi!

Near gate #36 is the best sushi restaurant, heck, the best restaurant in any airport. If we can, we always arrange at least a connecting flight through Tokyo Narita airport to stop here. You should too.

They have an excellent selection of my favorite silver/shiny fish (e.g. mackerels, sardines). Now they get fresh fish from one place in the Tokyo fish market. Today, that was insanely fresh Chutoro.

Actually worth a 12-hr flight.

Today it was the burgers

The weather in the Portland OR area is amazing. It's milder and less wet than people say, even the locals seem to downplay the weather here. It is certainly better than New England.

We miss our great friends in New England of course, and the badminton is good here. Today I had a nice phone call from a startup friend out East. It was great to catch up. Then I got a random email from an old newsletter for, what I think, is the best burger chain anywhere on earth. b.good.

No, I don't own stock in them, and there is no perfect burger. b.good specializes in very healthy burgers and fries, and you can really taste the difference. I'm getting too hungry already, so I'll stop. The kicker is they sometimes have contests for free stuff, the pinnacle being an award of free burgers for life. We don't live out East anymore, so I didn't enter. The award winner for Portland Maine wrote this unbelievably awesome rap about b.good burgers, and he summarized it better than I ever could.

My wonderful wife and I moved from New England to near the Portland Oregon area. We LOVE the Pacific Northwest, and we've been here a few years now. We have an adorable baby girl, Vivi.

People here are nice and smile a lot. Vegetables are insanely delicious. Driving is not like Mad Max.

This blog is very Vivi-centric. Our family just can't resist. :) Also, there are some stupid hacking and geek tricks.
