We got this amazing deluxe room upgrade at the Shagri-La Rasa Sayang Hotel!

This is an amazing hotel. Everything here is perfect. I've stayed here before several times over the years. They've stepped up their already excellent service, with extraordinary afternoon tea and champagne happy hours (later post). They get our very top recommendation now.

This is a very wide angle lens (16mm). So this room is very spacious! It is on the top (fifth) floor, and overlooks the ocean and gardens. There is an outdoor pool on the balcony, and a huge "walk-in" shower room. Stunning and fun.

My wonderful wife and I moved from New England to near the Portland Oregon area. We LOVE the Pacific Northwest, and we've been here a few years now. We have an adorable baby girl, Vivi.

People here are nice and smile a lot. Vegetables are insanely delicious. Driving is not like Mad Max.

This blog is very Vivi-centric. Our family just can't resist. :) Also, there are some stupid hacking and geek tricks.
